The Broken Girls was just released on March 20th and I give it 3.5-4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just finished it yesterday. Did I read it in just 3 days?? Nope, not this time, March has been cray cray. I got this book last month from Book of the Month Club. How cool is that??

I’m obsessed with BOTM. Not only can I get books before they’re even released, it only cost $9.99!! At a bookstore it retails for $26. Amazon has it at $18.75 currently. Book of the Month Club clearly wins on price.

The Broken Girls is a ghost story with an interesting social commentary on America in the 1950s and present day. It took a little bit for me to get into this book. I’m not sure if that was the book’s fault, or just my busy schedule. The book is 326 pages. It took over a week to read the first half, and only a day to read the second. It’s worth sticking with it, if you have similar feelings about it in the beginning.

When I read the prologue, I thought that it might be the most predictable book in the world, but it’s not. I’m not normally into stories with ghost themes. This one was believably creepy, but not enough for nightmares or being afraid to take the trash out at night. I’m scared to read Pet Sematary, just so we’re all on the same page of my scaredy-cat status.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the book! That’s the funny part about reading the book before it’s released. The only reviews are the praise chosen by the book to promote its sales.

I definitely recommend that you check out Book of the Month: BOTM Club
